About Me
I have grown up with pet dogs all my life, some have been working dogs as well as general family dogs. When my children were old enough I decided to get a pet dog, Amber. She was a lovely Cavachon, we did agility for a couple years until she got hip dysplasia when we had to stop. She was generally a very good girl and very easy to train, and loved playing games.
In 2017 I started my home boarding business, during the last few years I have had many dogs come to stay, many with a variety of struggles. This was when I decided I’d like to use my experience and knowledge to make a difference and make these dogs stay a much better experience.
In January 2018 I found concept training and have never looked back since.
So what is concept training??
Concept training is game based training, where we work with your dogs emotions, reshaping the brain to achieve real life results.
Over the last 3 years I have helped many dogs with amazing results. The feedback I was receiving was confidence boosting and I had many people asking me for advice, with a variety of struggles, from anxiety, to loose lead walking, to vet visits....
I am always topping up my own learning,
‘knowledge is power’ our ever changing lives and environments need us to adapt and consider how they effect our pets.
My ultimate goal is to help dog owners and their dogs to build a great bond. Where training is fun for both with no adverse training methods in site! I pride myself on force free positive reinforcement training methods.
Together we will build a variety of games that suit your needs. We work on many concepts, such as focus, confidence, optimism, disengagement, arousal up, arousal down, calmness, boundaries and so much more.
Over the last few years I am pleased to say I have helped many clients with a number of struggles, such as, reactivity, anxiety separation anxiety, destructiveness, to other things like chase drive, pulling on the lead, or barking at the post man.
